Changing your Wyoming registered agent is not an instant process. There are several steps and timelines to consider during the change. The total process can take anywhere between 15 and 20 business days.

Step 1
Order Received and Prepared
The process begins by confirming that all statutory requirements are met for our internal record keeping. This includes checking to make sure we have complete designated contact details and manager/member contact information.
Once our verification is complete, we prepare a form called "Appointment of New Registered Agent and Office"
Step 2
Order Sent To Wyoming Secretary of State
We begin by sending you an email copy of the change agent form and mailing the original to the Wyoming Secretary of State.
Since we are located in Sheridan, Wyoming and the Wyoming Secretary of State is in Cheyenne, WY we need to consider the time it takes to have the form mailed.
Mailing the change agent form can usually add an additional 2-3 days to the State's official processing time of 15 business days.
Step 3
Wait for the process
Upon receipt the Wyoming Secretary of State will timestamp the change agent form. From this point the State mentions that it can take up to 15 business days following the date of receipt.
The state provides a resource that announces how up to date their files are processed. This can be viewed here on their website. Just look for the section that reads "AS OF TODAY WE HAVE PROCESSED ALL FILINGS RECIEVED IN OUR OFFICE THROUGH...."
Step 4
New Registered Agent Is Visible on State Database
After the state is finished processing the change agent form, the result is publicly visible on their Wyoming business search.
